Jan Vertonghen has become the latest player to commit his future to Tottenham.
Just a day after Harry Kane agreed a long-term contract with the club, Vertonghen has put pen to paper on a new deal that will see him remain at White Hart Lane until 2019.
The Belgium international won back=to-back Eredivisie titles with Ajax in 2011 and 2012 before making the switch to Tottenham and in his first season at White Hart Lane he was named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
He has made 179 appearances in his five years at the club, while he has represented his country on 88 occasions.
"I'm very happy to be here, the future looks great so I'm very happy to be part of it.
"This is an unbelievable group of talent and a group of guys – I feel privileged to be a part of that.
"We've created a great atmosphere in the team and there's a great buzz around Tottenham."
