Vettel quickest in final practice

Ferrari driver fastest in Monaco

Sebastian Vettel was fastest in the the final practice session ahead of tomorrow's Monaco Grand Prix.

The four-time world champion finished 0.018 seconds ahead of Lewis Hamilton, with the Briton's Mercedes team-mate and current championship leader Nico Rosberg back in third.

They were followed by Red Bull pair Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen in a very tight session which saw just 0.157 seconds between the first four drivers.

Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz were sixth and seventh for Toro Rosso, with Sergio Perez eighth fastest for Force India.

Vettel's Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen could only manage ninth, just over nine-tenths of a second behind the German, with Force India's Nico Hulkenburg rounding out the top ten.

It proved a somewhat messy session as very few of the drivers managed to complete enough full flying laps due to an overcrowded racetrack.

The main incident of the session involved Spanish Grand Prix victor Max Verstappen who sustained suspension damage after grazing the barrier at Massenet and only just made it back to the pits.

Meanwhile, it proved another disappointing showing for Williams with Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas managing just 11th and 14th respectively.
