Visa issues delay Nacewa, Gibson-Park

Isa Nacewa and Jamison Gibson-Park have been denied entry to South Africa because of visa issues.

The pair were part of the Leinster squad which touched down in South Africa ahead of their Pro14 clash with Southern Kings on Saturday.

A new regulation brought in last December requires New Zealanders to have a visa to enter the country and so the pair are currently in limbo while any potential options are weighed up.

Leinster will remain in South Africa as they will next face the Toyota Cheetahs in Bloemfontein next weekend but it is not clear whether the pair will need to return to Dublin.

A Leinster statement read: "Leinster Rugby can confirm that two members of the touring squad to South Africa, Isa Nacewa and Jamison Gibson-Park, encountered visa issues this morning upon arrival in Johannesburg.

"As this process is still ongoing, Leinster Rugby will be making no further statement."
