Wales finish strong to see off Italy

Wales struggled to get going for nearly an hour but managed to overcome a stubborn Italian side 33-7 late-on in the RBS Six Nations at the Stadio Olimpico.

Despite the win, the visitors miss out on a bonus-point after Liam Williams last-ditch effort fell short for his side's fourth tryas the 25-year-old lost control of the ball before touching-down.

The Italians made it difficult for the Dragons, after an inspired performance from captain Sergio Parisse highlighted the fight and spirit the Italians displayed.

Wales took control of the tie after Italian prop Andrea Lovotti was sent to the sin-bin, and tries from Jonathan Davies and Liam Williams gave the Welsh a deserved lead, before George North ran in from 60 meters to complete the hard-fought win for Warren Gatland's side.

Next up for the Conor O'Shea's team is a home tie against Ireland next Sunday, while Wales host England on the same day.
