West Brom are in talks with Bournemouth over a deal to sign Ireland international Marc Wilson on a permanent basis.
eir sport understands that the deal is "an active discussion which is at the haggling stage", with Bournemouth wanting a £1m transfer fee for the 29-year-old, who previously worked with Baggies' boss Tony Pulis at Stoke.
Wilson joined the Cherries from Stoke City in a £2m deal in August 2016, but spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom after failing to win over manager Eddie Howe.
Howe substituted Wilson at half-time during a 3-2 League Cup defeat to Preston North End in September 2016, and did not select him in the Premier League at all during his five months at the Vitality Stadium.
Pulis confirmed during the season that he wanted to sign Wilson, who made four Premier League appearances for the Baggies during his loan spell, on a permanent basis.
"That's up to Bournemouth. We want to wait until the end of the season and then we'll have a look," Pulis said.
