Wenger anticipating tough draw
Arsene Wenger fears Arsenal will get a tough draw in the last 16 of the Champions League despite finishing top of Group A.
The Gunners 4-1 defeat of Basel coupled with Paris Saint-Germain only drawing with Ludogorets means it is the Premier League team that will go into Monday's draws as group winners for the first time since 2012.
As things stand Arsenal could be drawn against Benfica, Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen, while either Borussia Dortmund or Real Madrid will also be in the mix and Wenger knows he side face a battle to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.
"I don't even know who we can get. But we can still have a difficult draw. Any way, it will be difficult but with less guilt when you finish first," Wenger said after Tuesday's victory.
"You feel you've done the job and can play the second leg at home. So we have achieved that. But the draw is not much different (in terms of the potential opponent), certainly at the moment.
"I cannot complain tonight. I've had bad nights in football and tonight was a good night. Overall we came here wanting to do the job, wanting to play well."
