Arsene Wenger feels his Arsenal side showed "more steel than style" in Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Substitute Olivier Giroud headed in Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's cross in the 89th minute to cancel out Juan Mata's 68th minute opener, and extend the Gunners' unbeaten run in all competitions to 17 matches.
"We have shown steel, we want style as well but we had more steel than style today," the Frenchman told BBC Sport.
"We have good spirit and that has shown today."
Wenger admits his side were far from their best against a side they now haven't beaten in the ten Premier League matches at Old Trafford.
"The result in the end is positive for us because we were 1-0 down with two minutes to go. For the rest it was a bit of a scrappy game with two teams well organised who defended well," he told Sky Sports.
"Our passing was not quick enough, our penetration was not there and in the end we looked like we had good possession of the ball but not many chances. In the second half we suffered for the first 20 minutes and they deserved to be in front.
"The players who came on made a massive difference today. When you are 1-0 down and come back to 1-1 of course you have to feel happy.
"We lacked a bit of sharpness today, what is it down to I don't know but at least we came back."
United have collected 19 points from their first 12 Premier League games this season - the club's worst start since the 2004-05 campaign - but Mourinho insists his side was unfortunate not to secure all three points.
"We are the unluckiest team in the Premier League," he told Sky Sports.
"In the last three matches at home, against Stoke we have to win 5 or 6-0 and we draw, against Burnley we have to win 5 or 6-0 and we draw and today we have to win 2 or 3-0 and we draw too, so I think we are the unluckiest team.
"But the team is playing well, the team is working really well."
