Arsene Wenger has questioned the 'uneven' Premier League schedule over the Christmas and New Year period.
Arsenal will play their third game in nine days when they travel to Bournemouth on Tuesday evening just over 48 hours after they defeated Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium.
Premier League leaders Chelsea, meanwhile, have three days’ rest before their game at Tottenham on Wednesday evening and Wenger believes some teams have been unfairly treated by the schedule and feels an increase in television revenue is to blame.
"The differences in rest period are unbelievable in terms of all the teams," the Frenchman said.
"In 20 years it is the most uneven Christmas period I've seen. I don't really know if the Premier League masters the fixtures.
"We have sold the rights to TV for a lot of money so we have to accept TV chooses the games, but some teams have more luck than others.
"We go into a game with a big handicap on the fixture and I have to find fresh legs. We are privileged in our job; we get a lot of money to play football and sometimes it goes for you and sometimes against you."
Wenger admits he could be forced to make changes to his side for the game at the Vitality Stadium.
"Every game is so difficult in this Premier League that we go now into a game in 48 hours' time with a big handicap on the fixtures," he said.
"I have to try and find some fresh legs, so let's just focus on Bournemouth and try to get a good result there."
