Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew says Connor Wickham suffered a "serious" injury during the Eagles' 5-4 defeat to Swansea at the Liberty Stadium.
The former Sunderland striker suffered the injury six minutes into the second half of Palace's nine-goal thriller in South Wales, when, unchallenged, he went down clutching his right knee.
"It looks like a serious injury, but until we see a scan, we don't know," he told Sky Sports.
"It is a bad injury for us, and saw us lose momentum."
Pardew says he will make changes at the back for Palace's next Premier League match, at home to Southampton on 3 December, after watching his side let slip a 4-3 lead going into injury time.
"We defended so badly at times with set-pieces, which is something we have talked about and worked on," he continued.
"I feel aggrieved about that, particularly when we take the lead at 4-3 - there is no way we should concede those two goals [to Swansea substitute Fernando Llorente]
"Four of their goals from set pieces, so I will look to make changes. I am a manager of a team that has lost six games, and it is hurting."
