Willian hopes Eden Hazard remains at Chelsea amid reports that Real Madrid are preparing to launch a bid for the player.
Hazard's contract runs until the summer of 2020 but he has been repeatedly linked with a move to Real with the Belgium international admitting that he has a life-long ambition to play for the Spanish giants.
Chelsea's transfer ban could scupper his move to the Bernabeu, but Zinedine Zidane is a fan of the player and his return has once again sparked speculation that Real will make a move for the playmaker.
Willian accepts anything can happen in football but he wants Hazard to remain at Stamford Bridge.
"First of all I hope he stays with us. But in football you never know what can happen," Willian told reporters ahead of Chelsea's Europa League last-16 second leg against Dynamo Kiev.
"Eden is a fantastic player, one of the best in the world, he is my friend, one of the best players I have played with in my whole career.
"I have to say, I hope he stays with us."
