Zebo benched as Earls comes in

As was predicted in some quarters, Simon Zebo is axed for Munster's tie against Racing Sunday.

Munster have named their side to take on Racing 92 in Bordeaux for the Champions Cup semi-final, live on BT Sport 3 on the eir Sport pack [kick-off 3.15pm Irish time].

There are nine changes to the side that defeated the Cheetahs 19-17 in Bloemfontein Friday last. Earls is back from injury to make his 150th Munster appearance on the right wing.

Alex Wootton comes into the side on the other flank. James Hart, JJ Hanrahan and Zebo are the backline substitutes.

Andrew Conway keeps his place in the starting team – moving to full back – while Sammy Arnold and Rory Scannell resume their centre partnership.

Ian Keatley and Conor Murray play as the half-backs, while Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell and Stephen Archer make up the front row with second-row duo Jean Kleyn and Billy Holland starting in the engine room.  Peter O’Mahony, Jack O’Donoghue and CJ Stander are the back-row forwards.

The clash will be a record 13th semi-final for Munster.

Munster face Racing 92 in the European Champions Cup semi-final at the Stade Chaban-Delmas in Bordeaux on Sunday, 22 April, live on BT Sport 3 on the eir Sport pack [kick-off 3.15pm Irish time]
