Zlatan should move to the MLS - Schweinsteiger
Bastian Schweinsteiger belives his former Man United team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic should consider a move to the MLS when he recovers from his knee ligament damage.
Ibrahimovic suffered the injury, which could rule him out for up to a year, during United’s Europa League quarter-final victory over Anderlecht.
World Cup-winner Schweinsteiger joined Chicago Fire two months ago, where he has scored two goals in four, and when pressed by Sport1 if Zlatan should move across the Atlantic for his next carer move, there was no doubt in the German’s mind, saying: “Definitely. Players like him are certainly very important in a league like MLS.
“He's a very professional sportsman and really gives you a lot of quality on the field.
“He may be [a bit eccentric] and sometimes I think he does it on purpose, but as a footballer, he's really one of the best I've ever played with.
“He's got a really, really good eye and that really impressed me.”
